We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Bricklaying to join our team at Loughborough College Group, based at Brooksby College. We are looking for a Brickwork Lecturer with the ability to deliver across the full range of the department's provision, including course content, assessment and learner support. The role is suitable for someone currently working in construction who is looking for their first teaching position and who is passionate about innovation and technology integration in the learning environment.
Responsibilities
* Write schemes of work, lesson plans and review plans.
* Manage the formal assessment process, including maintenance of all assessment records.
* Support learners through their programme and the specific qualification aims.
* Devises and implements a learning and assessment plan for each individual learner.
* Undertake tutorial and pastoral roles with learners.
Qualifications
* Possess or be willing to work towards a teaching and assessing qualification (DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent).
* Experience to the minimum industry standards required for teaching, with recent experience working in the relevant industry.
* Up-to-date knowledge of brickwork and related vocational areas.
* Work‑based learning experience.
