Job Description
UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) is on a mission to protect clean sport and has an exciting opportunity for a Data Analytics Lead within the Education, Insight & Global Engagement Directorate. This role involves leading and managing the implementation of UKAD’s Data Analytics Strategy.

Job purpose
You will oversee the integration of new data visualizations, advanced analytical methods, and AI to enhance operational effectiveness. You will also contribute to initiatives that promote data excellence and foster a global, data-driven culture in anti-doping analytics.
Key responsibilities
1. Lead development of insights, data visualizations, and reports across UKAD.
2. Apply data science methods, including statistical analysis and machine learning.
3. Explore applications of generative AI within anti-doping, ensuring compliance with data governance and ethics.
4. Facilitate workshops to identify analytical hypotheses.
5. Support data initiatives through feedback, troubleshooting, and mentorship.
6. Represent UKAD in international data analytics collaborations.
7. Develop leadership and technical skills within UKAD.
8. Build partnerships with academic institutions and international organizations.
9. Engage with other sectors to adopt analytics approaches.
Person specification
Qualifications and experience
* Experience in handling large datasets, data visualization, and analysis.
* Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, and Power BI.
* Knowledge of data science packages (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib).
* Familiarity with machine learning, NLP, and data acquisition techniques.
* Experience in managing projects with stakeholders.
* Understanding of data protection and confidentiality.
