Responsibilities
* Risk assess products to be safe, legal, responsibly sourced and meet Tesco rules & policies.
* Manage and deliver technical aspects of product development critical path.
* Deliver health and responsible sourcing agenda across supply base.
* Ensure products maintain great quality through ongoing monitoring and improvements.
* Manage risk in supply chains, from source, ingredients, raw materials, processing, manufacturing and Tesco routes to market (safety, business & reputational risks).
* Play active role in supplier strategy for area, ensuring use of best suppliers & sources.
* Drive & develop supplier capability through collaborative engagement, setting clear goals and measuring progress via Joint Quality Plans.
* Respond to complaints and incidents quickly and effectively, ensuring stakeholders are aware and relevant action is taken to protect customers and Tesco.
* Challenge self to learn new skills and stay abreast of latest industry thinking to drive innovation.
* Develop and coach direct reports and support them to be their best.
* Follow Business Code of Conduct, acting with integrity and due diligence and speak up if something isn't right.
Qualifications & Experience
* Supplier & stakeholder management, strong influencing, communication and presentation skills.
* Project, critical path and risk management across complex end-to-end supply chains.
* Strong product and manufacturing knowledge, ensuring delivery of safe, legal and responsibly sourced products.
* Data analysis and sound decision-making to manage quality, risk and performance.
* Relevant industry experience and qualifications, ideally within food/GNF.
* People management experience (where applicable).
* Strong IT and systems capability.
