A lovely new role working for a global household business that owns many brands we all love and use daily. They are seeking an experienced and ambitious Procurement Manager to join their team.
This role reports to the Head of Category Management and manages key spend areas such as MRO, International Freight, Warehousing, Operational Spend, and Utilities. Candidates with a broad range of indirect category management experience are encouraged to apply.
Role and responsibilities:
* Create strategies and oversee their delivery, including achieving year-on-year savings
* Develop group-wide category plans to ensure alignment and leverage suppliers to support local offices
* Engage and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level to secure buy-in, using strong market knowledge
* Build relationships with key stakeholders to gain comprehensive supplier performance insights
* Monitor supplier risk and performance via reporting tools and feedback
* Act as a procurement role model, embodying company values and promoting procurement excellence
* Ensure strategic projects are delivered and the business receives optimal service in line with cost efficiency
Experience and requirements:
* Experience in indirect category procurement within large, complex organizations
* Preferred categories include Warehousing, International Freight, MRO, Logistics, and Operations
* Private sector procurement experience, preferably in a global company
* Experience managing complex global projects with Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers of significant value
* Confidence in engaging and influencing senior stakeholders across regions
* A strategic approach to procurement, suppliers, and business needs
* Excellent communication skills across different cultures and countries
* Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
* MCIPS qualification is desirable but not essential
