The starting salary for this role is £20,792.50 (pro rata to £41,585 FTE), working 18 hours per week.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract/ secondment opportunity.
We have a great opportunity to join our Adults Academy as a Learning and Development consultant on a part-time basis.
We support hybrid working with the right balance, however as the role requires frequent travelling across our registered and in-house services, as well as our offices, we expect the person being able to work from different locations several times a week.

About The Role
Since June 2025, the Academy's role has expanded to support not only social care teams but all in-house services, including reablement. Our services are CQC-regulated and some are currently rated "Requires Improvement," so this role is critical in helping us raise standards.
You will work closely with our Career Development Lead and will involve a wide range of responsibilities. You will providing intensive training, supporting workforce development, and creating good practice guides for in-house services, with a particular focus on supported living services. A key aspect of the role is empowering these services to meet Care Certificate standards and fulfil mandatory training requirements. You will also contribute to our learning needs analysis, deliver targeted and consistent training, and offer expert advice to partners and stakeholders.
In addition, you will play an important part in developing sustainable specialist programmes, such as the Care Certificate and Admiral Nursing project, while using insights to help shape future learning initiatives. You will co-produce and deliver training sessions, workshops, and reflective practice sessions directly to registered services. Managing and commissioning external training providers will also be part of your remit, ensuring that all training offers meet quality assurance standards.
Collaboration is central to this role, as you will work closely with internal and external partners to create a diverse and accessible learning offer, utilising various delivery methods and technology. Finally, you will promote and support the use of our Learning Management System across the directorate, ensuring it becomes an integral part of our approach to learning and development.
This role is key to driving practice improvements, consistent standards, and reflective practice across the AWHP directorate in house and registered services.
Your Application
In order to be considered for shortlisting, your application will clearly evidence the following skills and align with our :
10. Strong understanding of social care practice and the underpinning legal frameworks.
11. Knowledge of the Care Certificate, CQC Single Assessment Framework, and financial processes including budget management.
12. Experience in contract management, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement with the ability to influence and lead.
13. Proven ability to co-produce and deliver workshops, training, and reflective practice sessions.
14. Advanced IT skills (Excel, PowerPoint) with capability to analyse data, develop new data sets, and create evaluation tools.
15. Ability to manage budgets and contribute to evidence-based decision-making through robust data analysis.
