We're looking for an experienced and confident Senior Credit Control professional to join a busy, supportive team based in Manchester City Centre, reporting directly into the Head of Credit Control. This role is ideal for someone with at least three years' experience in Credit Control, Customer Service or a similar environment, who enjoys working at pace, communicating with clients and taking ownership of results.
You'll manage your own portfolio of overdue accounts, handling payment and service queries primarily over the phone, as well as by email and letter. As a senior team member, you'll lead by example through high call activity, strong attention to detail and a consistently high standard of client service. You'll work closely with internal teams including Client Experience, Client Retention and Relationship Management, while also supporting colleagues by reviewing aged debt, agreeing action plans and coaching performance.
This role carries responsibility for meeting KPIs and service levels, with a strong focus on cash collection, debtor days and reducing overdue balances. You'll be someone who prefers speaking to clients rather than relying on email, is reliable and punctual, and brings energy, ambition and a desire to develop others. There is a clear progression plan in place for the successful candidate to move into a Credit Control Team Leader role.
