My successful client is expanding and is looking to employ a candidate who not only has experience of the set up and operation and care potentially large scale manufacturing machinery of a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines but is able to buy into the ethos of the organisation and run the Surface Mount department, lead a small team and report into the management team on a daily basis.
Role
• Daily running of the Surface Mount department to meet targets and deadlines.
• Attend daily production meetings to report on the current daily status and assist in planning the next working day.
• Daily setting & operating of SMT and other equipment and machinery to meet targets & deadlines
• Using paste machine & re-flow equipment
• Inspection of surface mount assemblies as they go through the line and rectification of any faults found
• Operate computer-controlled surface mount assembly machinery to successfully assemble surface mount technology printed circuit assemblies.
• Upkeep of component stock, labelling, boxing and storing.
• Liaising with relevant departments to ensure all surface mount assemblies are manufactured to the correct specification
• Ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard in an accurate and timely fashion
• Completing batch traceability documentation for all surface mount assemblies
• Completing Quality Records on route card
• Carry out preventative maintenance to surface mount equipment & all other machinery adhering to procedures and maintenance plans that have been established
• Fill in time sheets accurately on a daily basis.
• Training junior members of the department
• Inspection and check of other machine operators.
About you:
• Must have previous experience and be able to set up and operate a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines.
• Must have previous experience for the operation and care of large-scale manufacturing machinery including actions such as feeding materials for processing, adjusting settings, performing minor repairs, and pulling finished product from the line.
• Experience in programming or AOI is beneficial but not essential.
• Experience in running Europlacer Pick and Place Machines would be ideal.

Extra information:
• You will be required to work a 40 hour week from 8.30 – 5pm Monday to Friday (30 mins lunch)
• Salary £35,000 to £45,000 DOE
• Overtime is often available
• Profit share after 12 months service
