Overview
Graduate Intelligent Transport Systems Engineer (London, Leeds, Birmingham or Manchester) – join Jacobs on the Graduate Development Programme (GDP). The two-year scheme supports your development with blended learning, mentoring, progress reviews and networking, helping you become knowledgeable and competent across four focus areas: human skills, consulting skills, championing our strategy, and your passions. The GDP is a mix of on-the-job learning and formal development, and offers projects from concept through construction in intelligent transport systems across public and private sector projects in the UK & Ireland. The start date for this role is September 2026.
Responsibilities
* Assist and support colleagues in the preparation of feasibility studies and scheme reports.
* Produce detailed designs to support the enhancement and renewal of intelligent transport systems on projects across the UK & Ireland.
* Work on a varied mix of highways technology projects from concept through to construction.
* Learn on the job with guidance from your manager and mentor to collect meaningful learning experiences.
* Contribute to delivering outcomes and solutions for complex transport challenges by collaborating with project teams.
Requirements
* Be working towards a Degree or Masters level qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
* A flexible self-starter who is keen to drive your career forward.
* Adaptable to change, with a thirst for learning new things.
* You must have the permanent right to work in the UK.
