We’re looking for a Sales & Events
Coordinator who genuinely loves people, thrives on creating memorable moments,
and gets a real buzz from turning enquiries into “yes”. This role sits at the
heart of our boutique hotels — connecting guests, events, and our operations
team to deliver experiences that feel personal, effortless, and distinctly us.



You’ll be naturally curious, commercially
switched-on, and unapologetically proactive. You understand that great
hospitality isn’t scripted — it’s responsive, thoughtful, and tailored. And
while you care deeply about the guest experience, you’re also hungry to
convert, close, and grow revenue.

This boutique hotel has been given plenty of pizzazz by its experienced hotel owners. With a re-launched restaurant and exciting alfresco dining terrace, launched in Spring 2023, The Bird is entering a new chapter, focusing on repositioning itself as one of the go-to sun trap dining spots in Bath!

As our Sales & Events Coordinator what you’ll be doing

Turning Enquiries into Experiences


* Owning every sales and event
enquiry from first hello to signed contract — with warmth, confidence, and
purpose.

* Moving quickly and thoughtfully to
convert enquiries into confirmed business. You know timing and follow-up
matter.

* Creating bespoke proposals that
reflect the guest’s vision while showcasing what makes our hotel special.

* Upselling and cross-selling in a
way that feels natural, helpful, and genuinely guest-focused.

* Confidently negotiating rates and
packages to balance guest delight with strong commercial outcomes.


Bringing Events to Life


* Coordinating events from planning
through to delivery, ensuring every detail is captured and communicated.

* Being the calm, capable point of
contact guests trust — especially when plans evolve (as they often do).

* Adapting on the fly to changing
needs, last-minute requests, or creative curveballs.

* Making sure contracts, function
sheets, and billing are accurate, timely, and stress-free.


Working Hand-in-Hand with Operations


* Collaborating closely with our
Front Office, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, and Housekeeping teams —
because great events are a team sport.

* Communicating clearly, early, and
often so everyone is set up for success.

* Translating guest expectations
into operational reality, without losing the magic.

* Spotting potential issues before
they arise and working together to solve them.


Being Commercial (and Proud of It)
















* Actively looking for opportunities
to generate revenue — repeat business, referrals, creative packaging, and
upselling.

* Tracking enquiries, conversions,
and revenue with pride and accountability.

* Keeping our sales systems and CRM
beautifully up to date (details matter here).

* Sharing market insights and ideas
that help us evolve and grow.

Experience We’re Looking For










* Previous experience in sales,
events, or coordination within hospitality (boutique or luxury experience
is a big plus).

* A proven ability to convert
enquiries into confirmed business.

* Confidence working with high-end
guests and bespoke requests.

* Familiarity with hotel sales
systems, CRM tools, or event planning software is ideal.
