What you'll be doing
The scope of the Plant and Logistic function is the integrated support of CWA portions. This includes the planning, design, execution and seamless integration, including the management, of plants workshops, stores, reinforcement cut & bend factory and concrete batching plants. This role is ideally suited to someone looking for a transverse position that includes technical tasks as well as management and support of subcontractors. Specifically, the Preconstruction Engineer will be required to plan sequence of works on site including logistic studies, perform clash detections, define required temporary works, draft and review CWA and subcontractor deliverables. The role requires working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders such as Subcontractors, CWA Delivery team, CWA Engineering, CWA Plant & Logistic team, Principal Contractor, Principal Designer.
Essential
* Project experience in complex / major complex project environments (at Site Engineer / Section Engineer level or equivalent)
* Up-to-date knowledge of construction methodologies
* Understanding of project planning and resourcing
* Up-to-date knowledge of industry standard safe systems of work
* Ensure responsibilities under CDM Regulations
* Applied knowledge of modern methods of construction and digital planning tools
* Proficient in working with digital models and BIM environments (e.g., Navisworks)
* Deadline‑focussed outputs
* Interpersonal and communications skills
* Facilitation skills
* Proficient in AutoCAD for technical drawing and design coordination
* Proficient in BIM tools, particularly Navisworks, for model review and 4D sequencing
* Ability to generate site installation drawings, time slices, and 4D construction sequences
* Experience reviewing subcontractor design deliverables including drawings, models, and risk registers
Desirable
* Confidence to propose innovative solutions and challenge conventional construction approaches constructively
* Experience in nuclear industry
* Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor experience
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in relevant discipline
* Previous experience in civil construction or mechanical industry
* CSCS card
42 hours per week.
