Join to apply for the Senior Theatre Practitioner role at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.

Operating Theatres / Staffordshire Treatment Suite (STS), County Hospital Stafford – We have an exciting opportunity for applications from enthusiastic individuals to work within both our main theatres and Staffordshire Treatment suites as a Senior Operating Department Practitioner / Senior Theatre Practitioners' undertaking scrub roles. We have options for those undertaking various specialities. We are looking for Theatre Practitioners, Registered Nurses / Operating Department Practitioners for full time positions, however part time would be considered.


Responsibilities

* Provide high standards of perioperative care within fast-paced theatres and Staffordshire Treatment Suite environments.
* Lead a theatre team, support and develop colleagues, and ensure smooth running of operating lists.
* Demonstrate excellent scrub and leadership skills; be prepared to work across areas as needed and occasionally outside of your specific specialty.
* Work Monday to Saturday with shifts aligned to the area of work; participate in structured preceptorship, induction, ongoing continuing professional education, appraisal and clinical supervision.


Qualifications & Requirements

* Minimum of 2 years’ experience at band 5 in theatre.
* Proven leadership abilities with the capability to lead a team in theatre and, at times, the department.
* Excellent scrub skills and leadership capabilities.
* Open to full-time or part-time roles; flexible to cover shifts across the area of work.


Additional Details

* Location: County Hospital Stafford, with expectation to work across Royal Stoke and County Hospital as required.
* Structured preceptorship and induction, access to ongoing CPD, appraisal and clinical supervision.
* One hospital with Royal Stoke and County Hospital; occasional cross-site work may be required.
* We offer flexible working options where relevant to the role and service, including full-time, part-time, bank hours, and agile working where possible.
