Ferring+You
The Quality Director is responsible for ensuring excellence in Quality, Compliance and GMP at our MHRA-licensed pharmaceutical manufacturing site, ensuring full compliance with UK/ EU GMP requirements. The role holds strategic and operational accountability for Quality Assurance and Quality Control. In addition, the QP role ensures that all medicinal products are manufactured, tested, and released in accordance with UK/EU legislation, GMP requirements, and the conditions of relevant Marketing Authorisations.
Your day at Ferring
1. Ensure compliance with UK/EU GMP regulations
2. Provide leadership of the site Quality function (QA, QC, QMS).
3. Perform QP batch certification and release activities in accordance with UK Human Medicines Regulations.
4. Act as primary contact for MHRA inspections and other regulatory authority audits.
5. Ensure effective management of the Quality Management System.
6. Maintain robust data integrity systems (including Annex 11 compliance).
7. Lead inspection readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Support regulatory submissions and lifecycle management activities.
9. Cross‑Functional Quality Leadership – Partner with QA, QC, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering to drive a strong quality culture.
10. Shop‑Floor Presence & Continuous Improvement – Maintain operational visibility, identify risks and contribute to improvement initiatives

11. Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
12. Extensive experience in pharmaceutical quality within a GMP manufacturing environment.
13. Proven expertise in batch certification and regulatory compliance, with strong knowledge of EU/UK GMP, ICH guidelines, MHRA expectations, and Quality Risk Management Principles
14. Confident supporting regulatory inspections and customer audits, demonstrating high standards of compliance and operational readiness.
15. Fully Qualified Person (QP) under UK legislation with strong GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing experience/close to completing VIVA with relevant oral solid dosage pharmaceutical experience.
16. Proven experience managing MHRA inspections with successful outcomes.
