Brief Description
The Senior Technical Officer will provide technical support to the Maintenance Engineering team.
Key Accountabilities
* Carry out work safely, following safe systems, method statements, plans, and instructions.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures.
* Manage and check the quality of work and asset compliance.
* Prepare work and resource specifications, method statements, and plans.
* Provide technical support and guidance.
* Design, install, test, and commission equipment.
* Undertake technical surveys, inspections, tests, investigations, and data analysis.
* Prioritize work and plan activities.
* Prepare specifications and requisitions for materials.
* Manage calibration and certification of tools and equipment.
* Update systems, databases, and records.
* Contribute to personal and team development.
Experience, Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies
* Knowledge of technical support activities and techniques.
* Experience with electrification, plant maintenance, and construction management.
* Understanding of design requirements, processes, and techniques.
* Ability to promote safe working behaviors.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to coach, influence, and develop others.
* Relevant competencies and qualifications, ideally NVQ level 2 or 3 in an engineering/leadership subject.
* Willingness to drive vehicles as needed.
Additional Information
This is a safety-critical role. Employment is conditional upon passing a medical, drug, and alcohol test.
