About Us
Jem Recycling & Waste Management is a growing organisation focused on delivering safe, compliant, and sustainable recycling solutions. We're looking for a proactive HSE Advisor to support our operations across office and site environments.
The Role
Working closely with our management team, you'll play a key role in ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are consistently met and maintained. This is a part-time role (3 days a week) with a strong focus on site-based activity.
Key Responsibilities:
· Carry out regular site audits and inspections.
· Monitor safe practices and safe working standards across operations.
· Review and update risk assessments, SOPs, and method statements to ensure compliance with HSE guidelines.
· Support the development of a strong safety culture across the workforce.
· Provide advice and guidance on health, safety, and environmental best practices.
· Manage and maintain ISO documentation and certification records.
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
· IOSH Managing Safely.
· Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety.
· Confident communicator and able to engage with staff at all levels.
· Previous COSHH & SDS knowledge.
Desirable:
· NEBOSH General Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
· Previous experience in waste management, recycling, or manufacturing environments is an advantage but not essential.
Hours & Pattern
· 3 full days a week (07:00–16:00).
· Typically, Tuesday-Thursday (flexible for the right candidate).
