Financial Controller | Global Advertising Group | Central London (Hybrid Working) | £70,000-£75,000 | Permanent Role
Robert Half are partnering with a major global marketing and communications group to recruit a Financial Controller for their UK finance function, based in Central London.
With operations across multiple international markets and a portfolio of well-known advertising, media, and PR agencies, this organisation offers the scale and opportunities of a truly international business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong finance professional with experience in audit and financial reporting to step into a key role within a large, multi-entity group environment. The position offers significant exposure to group reporting, consolidation, and statutory processes across the UK network.
About the Position
In this role you will:
* Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for multiple UK corporate entities. * Lead the consolidation and group reporting process, ensuring accurate and timely submissions. * Manage forecasting and annual budgeting cycles, coordinating submissions across agency teams. * Review and sign off management accounts, financial reporting packs, and balance sheet reconciliations. * Oversee working capital reporting, cash flow forecasting, and intercompany reconciliations. * Act as the primary finance contact for agencies across the network, resolving reporting queries and supporting accuracy of submissions. * Lead the delivery of UK statutory accounts, including reconciliation between US GAAP and UK GAAP. * Manage the external audit process and act as the key point of contact for auditors. * Oversee tax reporting processes including VAT, PSA reporting, and internal tax submissions. * Ensure strong financial controls and compliance across reporting processes. * Support process improvement initiatives to strengthen reporting and financial controls. * Provide guidance and support to members of the wider finance team.
What we're looking for
* ACA or ACCA qualified accountant. * Either an ex-auditor now working in industry within a financial reporting role, or someone coming directly from practice with a mixture of audit and accounts preparation experience. * Previous managerial or team leadership experience is essential. * Strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent double-entry understanding. * Experience working in a multi-entity or group reporting environment is highly desirable. * Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability. * Confident communicator able to work effectively with senior stakeholders. * Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight reporting deadlines.
