Consultant – Community Paediatrics
This is a substantive Consultant post in Community Paediatrics. It is a new position created as part of a service reconfiguration.
We are seeking to appoint a committed and motivated colleague to join our team of three established Consultants. The post holder will play an active role within our multidisciplinary team and, in collaboration with fellow Consultants and the Clinical Director, take on one of the lead roles required within the CCP.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable paediatrician and are very willing to discuss individual interests with potential applicants, with the aim of accommodating these wherever possible. Interests in Safeguarding, Neurodisability or Neurodevelopmental conditions, Social Paediatrics (LAC/Adoption) would be welcomed.
Community Pediatric Team provides both secondary and specialist medical care for children in Bexley and works closely with primary care teams, therapists, education, social services, voluntary sector and CAMHS to ensure that a fully comprehensive community pediatric service is provided to the population of Bexley.

The new Post holder will be a full member of the Joint Services for Children and Young People and will have the opportunity to fully participate in all aspects of the development and delivery of Child Health Services in Bexley. The service works in a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency context and teamwork is a key element of the role.
