Overview
Business Development Manager - Metals role at TieTalent. Halifax, West Yorkshire. £35,000 per annum starting salary + Commission. Permanent position. The company is a successful and well-established industrial materials business seeking an experienced sales professional to develop existing business accounts, identify and secure new business opportunities, and nurture long-lasting profitable working relationships.
This role is predominantly office-based with a focus on account management, but the successful candidate is expected to participate in existing customer visits and attend new business meetings when established in the role.
Responsibilities
* Maintain strong relationships with existing customer accounts
* Identify growth opportunities and implement strategies to achieve success
* Achieve or exceed agreed sales targets
* Actively participate in sales activity, including customer visits, under the guidance of the branch manager
* Handle incoming enquiries and complete all aspects of the order process
* Provide regular feedback on sales performance and market trends
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of the entire product range
* Develop a thorough understanding of customer requirements on both business and technical levels
Experience / Qualifications
* Experience of sales within a B2B environment, preferably in the industrial materials or parts sector
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to think strategically and proactively identify new opportunities
* Demonstrable track record of developing new business
* Ability to work with values of responsiveness, reliability and respect
