Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cookery School Assistants to join our small cookery school team.
The ideal candidate will be willing to learn quickly and be a friendly and efficient member of the team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our teacher and ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.
We only run classes twice a month, usually on a Sunday or Saturday, so we are looking for someone who is after a flexible part-time job to earn some money, possibly to fit around studies or retirement.
Duties
* Organising ingredients for classes.
* Participate in the cleaning of kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and equipment after use.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
* Support the teacher during classes by handing out ingredients and clearing away used items.
* Handle kitchen equipment safely and responsibly, adhering to all operational guidelines.
* Make tea and coffee for guests.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, but this position is also open to anyone applying for their first job wanting to gain experience in hospitality.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
