Yunex Traffic is looking to expand the product support team with an experienced Application Support Engineer providing 2nd application support to our portfolio of services.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing 2nd line support for Yunex Traffic Intelligent Traffic Systems, including real-time enterprise-level applications.
* Investigating, owning, and resolving customer incidents in line with SLAs.
* Testing and raising software defects, managing customer communication throughout the incident lifecycle.
* Supporting project activities, including occasional out-of-hours work.
* Developing and maintaining monitoring tools and alerting systems for 24/7 support.
* Managing and progressing system and application upgrades.
* Assisting with internal and external communications on incident progress, understanding risk and impact.
* Collaborating with R&D, Projects, and Infrastructure teams to ensure system accuracy.
* Maintaining internal knowledge base to support knowledge sharing.
* Promoting a culture of high customer satisfaction.
* Ensuring compliance with ITIL processes and company policies.
* Driving personal development with a focus on technology and applications.
* Attending customer review meetings as needed.
* Contributing to the global Yunex Traffic community with ideas to enhance customer experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Experience supporting bespoke applications in an enterprise environment.
* Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
* Solid understanding of networking principles.
* Familiarity with cloud-based services and technologies.
* Analytical problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, building strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
* Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
Desirable:
* Experience working within an ITIL framework.
* Knowledge of Intelligent Traffic Control Systems.
* Exposure to cybersecurity practices and standards.
* Experience with software deployment and project management.
* Understanding of database technologies and data analysis.
