The role:
* This is a fantastic career opportunity for any aspiring Development Technologist looking to shape a career within a dynamic, forward thinking food manufacturer creating healthy eating initiatives and other on-trend categories.
* You will lead and support the progression of customer and proactive concepts through launch.
* Confidently leading pilot plant lab trials and upscaling to factory trials for both Pasta and Snack.
* Help organise and execute the main stages of development to develop and successfully launch products on time.
* Collaborating cross functionally with Sales, Marketing on facilitating ideation & concept and with Technical, Engineering and Production departments for a successful a scale up to factory trial and launch.
Ideal candidate:
* Degree in Food Science or relevant science related field.
* Understanding of the NPD Process in a food-based company with 1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar role
* Understanding of Health & Safety, Food Regulations and HACCP.
* Organised with excellent attention to detail
* Strong administrative skills together with good computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
* Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
* Good project management skills.
* A ‘can do’ attitude with a strong desire to deliver against strict targets/deadlines
* Be organised with good analytical data skills.
* The ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
* Able to multi-task and prioritise under pressure
* Ability to build a strong relationship with operational teams
* Excellent customer service skills
* Keen to learn and be a problem solver
* Flexibility
* Full Driving Licence with access to own car
