Cornerstone is hiring for a part-time role in Elgin on a permanent basis (18, 20 or 25 hours per week).
Overview
Are you on the lookout for a new part-time job with satisfaction you’d struggle to find elsewhere? You’ll join our teams in Elgin to support individuals in achieving their goals and developing personal plans that reflect their choices, needs and capabilities.
Responsibilities
* Support individuals to manage their own homes, increase and maintain independence, and assist with personal care and their social, health and wellbeing needs.
* Bring creativity and enthusiasm to help people access leisure activities, engage in meaningful activities, and take part in hobbies and interests in home and local communities.
* Contribute to a positive, person-centered environment and help ensure a high quality of life for the individuals we support.
About You / Qualifications
* No prior care experience or formal qualifications are required to start with us. We invest in you with paid training and fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees.
* We are looking for individuals with: great communication, a positive, solution-focused attitude, good teamwork, the ability to work on your own initiative, willingness to learn and use new systems and technology, and the ability to keep clear, accurate records.
* Understanding the importance of following routines and guidelines.
Shift Patterns
We provide 24/7 support; shifts include early mornings, days and evenings. Weekends, public holidays and sleepovers form part of the rota on a rotational basis. Sleepovers are paid separately (£100.80 per sleepover).

Compliance & Requirements
* Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and work toward an SVQ with support from our Training Academy.
* If you have spent more than 12 months outside the UK (with exceptions listed) in the last 10 years, you may need to provide a criminal record certificate as part of pre-employment checks.
* If you’re successful, you will need to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting employment.
