Overview
Senior Care Assistant at HC-One. Kindness is at the core of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will help residents live with dignity, security and independence, know residents and their families, and deliver personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants and work closely with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager to provide physical and mental stimulation through activities and to administer medication where required.
You will maintain accurate records and build strong relationships with the team. This role requires positive energy, the ability to get along with people, good record-keeping, time management and a kind, considerate approach in all interactions.
Responsibilities
* Plan and implement care to provide residents with security, dignity and independence.
* Know residents and families well to deliver truly personalised care plans.
* Lead a team of Care Assistants and uphold high standards of care; influence the team positively.
* Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager; provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities.
* Administer medication as required.
* Maintain accurate records of care delivered and build strong team relationships.
Qualifications
* Ideally, Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care or NVQ; prepared to work towards Level 3 or equivalent.
* Background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
* Brilliant positive energy and natural ability to get along with people.
* Strong record-keeping skills and effective time management.
* Demonstrated kindness and consideration in all communications with residents and colleagues.
