About the Role
We’re looking for a Fire Door Installer to join our fire safety division. This is a mobile role involving the installation, replacement and repairs of fire doors, frames, and associated components across commercial and residential buildings.
The role is suited to a skilled carpenter or multi-skilled operative with experience fitting doors - particularly fire-rated doors - and carrying out high-quality remedial work.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
* Install, replace and repair fire doors, frames, hinges, closers, locks, intumescent materials, and associated hardware
* Remove and dispose of old or damaged fire doors and frames safely and professionally
* Ensure all installations meet fire safety standards, manufacturer requirements, and industry best practice
* Carry out fire door remedial works, including adjustments, repairs, and upgrades
* Work from inspection reports or job specifications to plan and complete works
* Record completed works accurately on a digital system (tablet provided)
* Liaise professionally with clients and site representatives
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
* Follow all site and company health & safety procedures
Desired Skills & Experience

* Proven experience installing fire doors or strong carpentry/joinery experience
* Ability to fit and adjust doors to strict tolerances
* Understanding of fire door components and installation requirements
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Ability to work independently across multiple sites
* Good communication and time-management skills
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
