Critical Cooling Project Manager – HVAC / Data Centres
Location: UK – London, South East or Telford. Hybrid role based in Hatfield or Telford with UK‑wide travel supporting delivery of critical infrastructure projects primarily for data centres.
We’re expanding our critical cooling project delivery capability and need a Project Manager to lead a portfolio of projects up to £2m involving chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, and in‑row cooling systems. You will work closely with field engineers, back‑office support and customers to keep projects on track and maintain customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Project Management
o Plan, coordinate and deliver cooling projects from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets and quality standards.
o Manage projects up to 10–20MW capacity for critical cooling systems.
o Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders for seamless execution.
* Service Delivery
o Oversee maintenance and breakdown services for existing contracts.
o Provide on‑call support for critical cooling systems.
o Monitor service performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
* Technical Support
o Provide technical expertise on chillers, CRAC/CRAH units and in‑row cooling systems with support from the cooling expert team.
o Offer advisory support for cooling technologies.
o Assist field technicians and back‑office staff with troubleshooting and technical/project/service queries.
* Stakeholder Management
o Work closely with back‑office teams, field technicians, project managers and customers to ensure smooth communication and delivery.
o Build strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
What we are looking for
* Cooling Background: Strong technical foundation in refrigeration or critical cooling systems (Chillers, CRAC, CRAH) is essential.
* Project Mindset: Experience managing projects within data centres or critical infrastructure; transitioners with technical knowledge are welcome.
* Flexibility: UK‑wide role, hybrid working from Hatfield or Telford hubs; comfortable with roughly 50% travel to sites, including occasional overnight stays.
* Communication: Ability to translate technical challenges into clear plans for engineers and customers.
