About the role

Our journey began back in 1929. Since then, we’ve continued to build a strong and resilient business with a great future. It's why we believe we’re the best foodservice provider in the country.

Play an important part in our journey at our new Worcester Depot

Are you looking for that first opportunity to start work and make a difference? We are looking to recruit a Transport Admin Assistant, with a focus on planning and data analysis to support our new, state-of-the-art Worcester Depot.

The role will include routing, compliance, and transport-related administration to enable us to maintain the highest standards in supporting our internal and external fleet management processes. You will work towards achieving your Level 2 Traffic Office qualification. If you seek variety, personal development, and growth whilst earning, this could be just for you.

You’ll be:

* Reviewing customer orders to plan routes of our fleet accordingly, to meet customer timescales and requirements.
* Analyzing, inputting, and reporting on data using a variety of Bidfood IT systems and technologies.
* Checking and recording delivery, vehicle, and departmental checks to standards using relevant systems.
* Assessing needs, investigating discrepancies, and making recommendations.
* Working independently, so self-motivation is essential.

This role is a blend of desk and warehouse work—you’ll be moving around a lot, so good physical fitness will help. It’s important you care about your team, our customers, and our goods. Most of all, you’ll work hard to ensure our drivers leave with the right stock on time, so our customers get the food they need.

Prior Qualifications

No formal prior qualifications are required, but we look for GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent) at grade C/4 and above, along with good IT skills.

A journey that gives back

We want your career with us to be rewarding. You’ll receive benefits supporting your wellbeing and financial security, giving you peace of mind.

The essentials

* 33 days holiday (including bank holidays).
* A pension—contribute 4%, and we’ll match up to 6% after year 1.
* Life cover that you can increase.
* Access to confidential support and counselling.
* A health plan that covers medical costs for you and your family, plus access to a digital GP.

The extras

* High street discounts on cinema, tech, travel, fashion, food, and drink.
* Access up to 20% of your pay before payday.

We want everyone to join our journey

We’re building a diverse and caring workforce filled with forward-thinking people with unique talents and skills. Whatever your background, we invite you to join us—come as you are!
