Our client is a global plastic injection moulding manufacturer with a busy UK site based in Wythernshawe. They are looking for skilled setters / technicians to join their busy technical team to ensure the smooth transitions of tools to keep up with the Production schedule. This company operate on a 4 on 4 off basis and it this doe include days and nights. Due to the mix of shifts this is reflected in the salary. Job Responsibilities * Carrying out tool changes / colour changes and sampling new products. * Where possible reducing cycle times without effecting the quality and making the production run more efficiently. * Montor the quality of the moulds to ensure they comply with regular quality checks and minimise the amount of scrap. * Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and ensure that 5S is followed throughout the manufacturing. * Working with management to follow tool changes set out throughout the shifts and achieving targets. * Ensuring the smooth hand over at the end of every shift. * Following all health and safety regulations across the site and where possible passing on past experience and knowledge to others within the team. Job Requirements * Must have past experience in Setting injection moulding machines. * Good knowledge of injection moulding. * Ideally would drive and have their own transport. * Excellent communicator and enthusiastic attitude. Hours: This shift pattern will be 4 on 4 off and would consist of 2 days & 2 nights (Days – 7am – 7pm & Nights 7pm – 7am) As a result of it being 4 on 4 off this will fall during the weekends and would require you to work weekends occasionally.
