We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school from January 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to children with additional needs.
About the Role
1. Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs
2. Supporting children with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH
3. Assisting the class teacher with learning activities, behaviour support and differentiation
4. Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, independence and confidence
5. Creating a calm, safe and nurturing learning environment
6. Working closely with teachers, SENCO and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate
7. Has strong experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting
8. Brings a caring, patient and empathetic approach
9. A background in care, support work, youth work or health/social care is highly valued and transferable
10. Confident supporting behaviour, routines and emotional needs
11. Reliable, proactive and able to work well as part of a team
