Land Management Officer - Waterfall Country Project
Natural Resources Wales are seeking an experienced, dynamic Land Management Officer to join the high-profile Waterfall Country Project in Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.
This is a fixed‑term appointment until 31 March 2028. The role requires a proactive approach to improving visitor safety and supporting the development and implementation of visitor safety initiatives.
* Lead the planning and delivery of visitor safety infrastructure improvements and interpretation upgrades.
* Conduct visitor safety inspections, map defects, and plan infrastructure improvements using a GIS platform.
* Manage contracts for rural path construction and vegetation management.
* Develop and deliver stronger messaging and pre‑visit communications, including social media engagement.
* Work collaboratively with the Project Manager and stakeholders from a range of organisations.
* Proven experience in visitor safety management in a forest setting.
* Experience in mapping using a GIS platform and writing works specifications.
* Strong time‑management skills and ability to prioritise work.
* Excellent communication skills and experience working stakeholders.
* Working knowledge of social media platforms.
Office base: NRW Resolven office.
Mid‑senior level, full‑time.
