Main duties of the job
* Deliver clinical, educational, and managerial services at Consultant level.
* Work with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, well-led services for patients at Ashford & St Peters, including diagnosis, investigations, treatment, and management in line with Trust policies.
* Provide direct clinical care, assist in clinical decision-making, and share workload.

Additional responsibilities
The postholder will develop the clinical leadership team, provide comprehensive senior clinical cover, engage in audit projects, support resuscitation and cardiac labs, and participate in education, research, and recruitment activities. Teaching and supervision of junior staff are integral parts of the role.
Person specification
Qualifications
* GMC Registration with a License to Practice
* CCT (or equivalent) in Anaesthesia within 6 months of interview
Experience
* High-quality elective and emergency anaesthesia care for adults and children
* Ability to provide direct anaesthetic clinical care
* Significant NHS experience
Additional information
This role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks. The post is classified as Mid-Senior level, on a contract basis, involving consulting, IT, and sales functions.
