We work with children and young people with a range of behavioural, trauma, complex needs with the home is registered for children who are diagnosed with Learning Disabilities.
We care for children and young people ages ranged between 7- and 17-years old.
We are seeking a Registered Children's Manager to oversee the care and management of a newly opened 4 bedded childrens home, which is our flagship home.
The ideal candidate would be someone who has a desire to work alongside senior managers and the director to help develop and grow the organisation. This is an aspirational role for those who wish to progress and develop their own carer in a dynamic forward thinking organisation and the opportunity to help shape the model of care and future vision of the company.
Duties shall include.
- Provide high-quality care for children within our care
- Manage and lead a team of caregivers to ensure the well-being of the children
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to each child's requirements
- Coordinate with external agencies
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and within the SCIFF framework

Skills:
- Proven experience in managing children's care services
- Strong leadership abilities to guide a team effectively
- Proficient in developing individualised care plans for each child
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and skilled Registered Children's Manager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children requiring specialised care.
The role will be busy and varied and you will be responsible for all safeguarding matters within the home. You will also be responsible for training, supervision and provide advice to support and develop the children's Residential Home. Working as a Registered Manager, you must be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people, ensuring that they have a positive experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood and to build lasting and memorable experiences for them toward this.
*Your Key Responsibilities as the Registered Manager*
As the Registered Manager you will have full autonomy of your home, you'll be integral to the smooth running of daily life within your home, enabling young people to thrive. You'll inspire and lead your team to manage a warm and friendly home, that provides a safe and supportive environment for children and young people to achieve positive outcomes whilst also achieving compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations and ensuring your home is always able to evidence a high standard of care and quality. You will be responsible for the organisation of work patterns, facilitation of training, and the accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within your homes.
You will lead a team of colleagues and facilitate their professional development so that they not only provide high-quality care and support but are enabled to fulfil their own career potential too. You will be supported by our Responsible Individual and other managers in the recruitment of a compassionate and motivated team and help build a fantastic workplace culture where colleagues feel valued and rewarded for the work that they do. You will design, implement and monitor the care and education plans to meet the individual needs of our children and young people, ensuring that key life and independent skills are achieved in the enriching and positive environment we strive to create. Responsible for the organisation of work patterns, facilitation of training, and the accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within your home.
*The successful candidate will have:*
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and management (Residential Childcare)- essential
* Have a proven track history of supporting children with complex needs especially experience of supporting children who are diagnosed with learning disabilities.
* Have a minimum of 2 years experience of managing an Ofsted home that carries a rating of good or above.
* Have experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviours including mental health and behavioural problems
* Full UK Driving license
* Excellent knowledge of current legislations The Children's Homes England Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015, the Children's Act 1989, Children Act 2004 alongside all other legislations that are relevant to residential children's homes

Schedule:
* Monday to Friday with out of hours support as and when required with flexibility to cover shift shortfalls as a last resort which could include weekend working
* One day per week remotely as and when appropriate depending on the needs of the service

Ability to commute/relocate:
* Heanor: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
