We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Trainee Polisher within our growing Polishing Team.
In a nutshell you will be responsible for:
You will be working within a team of polishers processing various parts for castings, turned parts, pressings & spouts for various plating finish standards, predominantly for chrome and nickel finishes, with a total of ten finishes across all ranges produced.
What you are already great at:
* Previous experience relevant to this role including experience with grinders, linishing or using hand tools to remove material.
* Ensuring all work is undertaken in accordance with any work instructions / procedures.
* Ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are completed as required.
* Reporting any quality issues / concerns to the team leader.
* Carrying out routine maintenance when required.
* Notifying the team leader of consumable items that are out of stock.
* Maintaining good communications and relationships throughout the company.
* Ensuring compliance with company procedures and make suggestions for improvement.
* Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
* Maintaining a clean, safe working environment and good housekeeping standards and ensure 5S standards are maintained.
* Willing to be trained in line with the skills matrix.
* To be trained and guided by the training mentors.
For this role we would need you to demonstrate:
* Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
* Familiar with the linishing and grinding aspects of the polishing process in preparation for the final stages of polishing.
