This role offers the opportunity to become an essential part of our Finance function, with a focus on the sales ledger and customer accounts. You'll work alongside a close-knit team at our head office in North Newbald. Due to limited public transport, own transport is essential. Key Responsibilities Customer Invoicing: Accurately generate and issue sales invoices in a timely manner. Credit Control: Monitor aged debt, proactively chase overdue payments (UK & USA), and maintain strong customer relationships. Customer Account Management: Set up and maintain customer accounts, including checking credit applications and setting appropriate credit limits. Bank Reconciliations: Match receipts to customer invoices and ensure ledgers are kept clean and accurate. Sales Reporting: Support month-end reporting with accurate sales ledger figures and commentary. Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve invoice queries in collaboration with sales and operations teams. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve billing and cash collection processes as the business scales. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking someone detail-oriented, reliable, and motivated to contribute to a fast-paced and growing team. The right person will thrive on taking ownership and seeing things through. Essential: Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar Sales Ledger / Credit Control role. Confident communicator, able to follow up proactively and handle sensitive credit situations with professionalism. Strong Excel skills (lookups, filters, basic pivots). High attention to detail and data accuracy. Organised and self-sufficient, with a sense of urgency and ownership. A team player who supports colleagues and builds internal relationships. Desirable: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Exposure to international or multi-entity operations (e.g., US billing or customers). AAT Level 2 or 3 (or working towards).
