We are exclusively engaged in supporting a rapidly growing start up based in the heart of Milton Keynes who are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their high performing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic business in what is an exciting time of year on year growth.

You will:
1. Manage the purchase ledger including processing invoices.
2. Checking invoice against data (currently held in Excel) that amounts agreed are correct.
3. Where there are variances liaise with the wider business to establish the reason for any discrepancy.
4. Ensure payment processing is completed on time.
5. Respond promptly to finance enquiries.
6. Provide ad-hoc analysis as required.
7. Reconcile accounts on purchase ledger and chase any overpayments.
8. Ensure authorisation is in place for invoices.
9. Process invoices on Xero accounting software.
10. Ensure payments are made on time.
11. Reconcile accounts on a regular basis.
12. Process monthly payroll for c. 30 salaried employees.
13. Investigate and respond to to any queries raised.
14. Reconcile payroll to HMRC gateway.
15. Post daily payments in Xero.
