SEND Teaching Assistant – Specialist School | Crowborough
A SEND school in Crowborough is currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team supporting pupils with additional learning and emotional needs.
This role involves working closely with pupils who may require extra support to access learning, develop confidence and manage behaviour within the classroom. Staff within the school work collaboratively to create a structured and supportive learning environment.

The Role
Supporting pupils within the classroom environment
Providing 1:1 or small group support where required
Assisting with learning activities set by the teacher
Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and engagement
Working closely with teachers and other support staff
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children or young people
Is calm, patient and able to build positive relationships
Works well within a team
Is reliable and committed to supporting pupils
Previous SEND experience is helpful but not essential.

Full-time role
Pay: £89.38 per day
A child-only DBS is required. If you do not currently hold one, you will need to apply and pay for a DBS and register it on the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
