Your new role
With 2 roles available on the back of internal promotion and headcount investment, there is flexibility to adjust category portfolio to suit candidate background and expertise. Working a Procurement Manager, you will lead strategic procurement activity across a variety of procurement activity epassing: IT Hardware & Software, a breadth of Indirect spend, scientific activity and Professional Services. You will shape and deliver a long‑term category strategy that aligns with business priorities, ESGmitments, and supplier diversity objectives.
Key areas of focus pertain to: Leadingplex, high‑value procurement activity, including tenders, negotiations, and contract renewals; Embedding ESG priorities and supplier diversity principles into all sourcing activity; coaching and advising senior stakeholders and sharing market intelligence; Enhancing contract management and strengthening supplier relationship management; and Supporting the Procurement Director in driving best practice across the function.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have demonstrable strategic procurement experience with proven experience of managing a wide range of stakeholders. With experience of category management and supplier relationship management methodologies, you will have a track record of building strong, collaborative relationships across the organisation. With highly developedmunication and influencing skills, you will have a self-motivated and organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
