Job Description

New Directions, Education are seeking experienced and knowledgeable SEND professionals to support Local, Leeds School on a part-time and full time basis. This role offers exciting opportunities to work across a number of academies, supporting SENCOs and school leaders in strengthening SEND provision and ensuring high-quality practice overall.

We want to hear from individuals who have:

1. Experience working withinSEND,ideally with experience in a school leadership or advisory role
2. The National Award for SEN Coordination (or equivalent qualification required of SENDCOs)
3. Knowledge and understanding of SEND provision, legislation, and the new inclusion elements of the Ofsted framework
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to advise, guide, and influence colleagues across both primary and secondary phases.
5. A reflective and collaborative approach, with a commitment to improving outcomes for learners with additional needs

The role will involve:

6. Auditing and reviewing SEND provision support across a number of academies
7. Providing professional guidance and advice to SENDCOs and leadership teams
8. Supporting quality assurance processes and modelling best practice in inclusive education
9. Ensuring that schools effectively evidence and embed inclusion within their provision, in line with current Ofsted expectations
