Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm (Mon–Thu), 8:00am – 3:30pm (Fri), 37 hours per week

About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Technician to join our School Trust team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for technology and problem-solving to play a key role in supporting staff and students across our academies.
As an IT Technician, you will provide technical support, maintain systems, and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations across the Trust. This permanent vacancy offers stability, with the potential to start on a temp-to-perm basis.
Key Responsibilities
1. Monitor, respond, and escalate IT problems via the helpdesk, email, and telephone.
2. Provide hardware and software support for staff and student devices.
3. Repair and maintain hardware and software installations.
4. Manage user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory, MIS software, and other systems.
5. Maintain, add, and delete users in the email system in line with procedures.
6. Deliver technical support to all users across the Trust.
7. Assist with installation of new and existing IT equipment.
8. Support users with the VOIP telephone system.
9. Provide proactive IT support when on site at any Trust Academy or Central Team Office.
What We’re Looking For
10. Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software.
11. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving IT issues.
12. Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and MIS systems (desirable).
13. Excellentmunication and problem-solving skills.
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
15. A proactive approach to supporting users across multiple sites.
