Personal Support Worker for little boy
Main Duties We are looking for a kind, caring, and confident Support Worker to help an energetic 8-year-old boy with Autism to build friendships and enjoy new adventures.
This is a chance to make a real difference in this child's life, bringing fun and structure to his day. You’ll start by getting to know him in the comfort of his own home, where trust can grow, and you can begin to develop a relationship with him.
You will help him explore social settings and develop his confidence and communication skills. It is hoped that he will eventually be able to join in group activities with other children, accompanied by you for support. As he has no danger awareness, he can often run off, so you will need to provide constant supervision. Support with personal care will also be required.

Person Specification
· Have experience with children with disabilities and complex needs
· Bring a warm, cheerful, and caring personality
· Are reliable, punctual, and full of initiative
· Understand the importance of confidentiality
· Can be flexible and responsive to the child’s evolving needs
· Are a car driver with business insurance
Hours 2 hours per week during term-time weeks and then 5 hours per week during all school holiday weeks. Some flexibility around which days the support takes place.
Rate of pay
£13.74 per hour. Holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata. Any out-of-pocket expenses will be met by the employer. ILGA PA Benefit – this will be further explained with the successful applicant.
An Enhanced DBS check will be required (paid for by the employer).
