About the role
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated payroll professional to join our team in Belfast. If you have strong analytical and organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service, we want to hear from you!
This is a client-facing role where you will be part of a team responsible for processing and reviewing approximately 350 weekly and monthly UK payrolls. You will handle payroll-related queries from clients and internal teams, ensuring that all payrolls are fully compliant at all times.
What your days will look like
1. End-to-end payroll preparation: Includes calculations, review, and ensuring accuracy.
2. Compliance and submissions: RTI to HMRC, pension uploads, and adherence to tax treatments.
3. Client and internal support: Onboarding new clients, ad-hoc payroll advice, and process documentation.
4. Communication and queries: Handling payroll-related queries with HMRC and third parties.
5. Year-end and annual processes: Managing year-end processes, P11D processing, and meeting deadlines.
6. Team development and project support: Training team on payroll updates, analyzing chargeable codes, and supporting management projects.
This role is for you if:
7. Experience of working in a client facing environment
8. Experience of working in a payroll bureau environment
9. Excellent end to end payroll knowledge
10. Critical thinking and the ability to work under own initiative to solve problems
11. Strong Powerpoint / Google Slides skills
12. Excellent Excel / Google Sheets skills
