Operations Team Lead Hours: 40 hours per week Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off Annual Salary: £37,815 per year (inclusive of shift allowance) Bonus Scheme: Participation in an annual bonus scheme Role Summary H9 Talent Solutions are seeking a safety-focused Operations Team Leader to join our clients team in Bargeddie. This key role involves operating our fixed plant SCADA system, coordinating shift activities, and ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our recycling facility. You will be expected to lead by example on safety, drive production targets, and act as a deputy for the Operations Production Supervisor when required. Key Responsibilities The Operations Team Leader will be accountable for: SCADA Operation: Safely and efficiently operating the SCADA system to meet production plans and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Shift Coordination: Coordinating shift resources, prioritising tasks, and ensuring effective workflow. Team Leadership: Leading/attending meetings and deputising for the Operations Production Supervisor (OPS) as needed. Safety Champion: Championing safety practices and ensuring strict compliance with all site procedures, including LOTOTO (Lockout/Tagout/Tryout) and TMS (Traffic Management System). Documentation: Completing all daily checks, defect reports, and production records accurately. Operational Support: Supporting general recycling activities, including picking, baling, and housekeeping. Weighbridge Management: Operating and maintaining accurate weighbridge processes. Multi-skilled Duties: Carrying out essential multi-skilled duties such as first aid, fire marshalling, and pest control (training will be provided). Skills & Experience Essential Requirements: SCADA Expertise: Proven experience in SCADA operation within a continuous production environment. Leadership: Demonstrated Team Leader experience. Communication: Strong communication skills and high attention to detail. Fixed Plant: A skilled fixed plant operator. Qualifications: Must possess an IOSH qualification and a valid UK Driving Licence. Desirable Attributes: Industry Knowledge: Experience within the recycling industry. Technical Skills: Good IT skills. Mobile Plant: Experience operating mobile plant (e.g., shovel, grab, FLT/Forklift Truck)
