Due to an increase in patient activity we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Breast Care Nurse to join our Team. You will be a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, delivering excellent patient care in line with KIMS vision and strategy. You will be required to work flexibly as the service develops, providing clinical expertise, support and knowledge to all patients who attend the breast service.
This is a bank role and therefore a zero hours contract covering absence and patient volume.
Main duties of the job
Duties for this positions will include:
1. To attend the breast clinics to support and assess the patients and their needs
2. Support patient throughout pathway including surgical admission and post-operative care
3. To ensure patients understand their treatment options enabling them to give informed consent
4. Positively contribute to the multi-disciplinary team ensuring patient centred care
5. Work in a clinical role to ensure the service to Breast patients is planned, monitored delivered and evaluated in accordance with evidence based practice

Qualifications
Essential
11. Be a registered nurse with significant experience in breast care
12. Possess evidence of post registration professional development in specialist field eg breast care module, counselling course

14. Experience in breaking bad news and relevant training
15. Have the ability to work autonomously and independently
16. Ideally have experience working within the private healthcare sector, however this is not essential
17. Have experience of developing new services / new ways of working.
