About the Role
We are currently recruiting an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join a friendly and supportive GP practice based in South Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established primary care team delivering high-quality patient-centred services to a diverse local population.
You will be working alongside GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, HCAs, and administrative staff in a modern, forward-thinking practice environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver chronic disease management (e.g. asthma, COPD, diabetes, hypertension)
* Carry out smears (cytology), immunisations, and vaccinations
* Support travel health clinics and wound care services
* Assist with infection prevention and control procedures
* Undertake health promotion and patient education
* Participate in long‑term condition reviews and QOF targets
* Maintain accurate clinical records using EMIS/SystmOne (depending on practice)
About You
We are looking for a confident and compassionate Practice Nurse who can work independently while being part of a team.
Essential Requirements
* Registered Nurse (RGN) with valid NMC pin
* Experience in primary care or community nursing
* Competence in chronic disease management and vaccinations
* Strong communication and organisational skills
Desirable Requirements
* Cytology (smear taker qualification)
* Diabetes or respiratory qualification
* Experience with EMIS Web or SystmOne
