An exciting opportunity has arisen for an APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) Engine Technician to join our client's workshop team in Warwick, Warwickshire. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to be part of the workshop team at the start of a new venture supporting various worldwide airlines with their APU engine requirements.
The client operates as a Part 145 facility in the UK and holds type certificates for the ALF502 and LF507 turbines, supporting the global fleet 24/7. They also have test cell capabilities and turbine expertise, enabling them to explore further off-wing turbine support for OEMs and MROs across various products. They plan to expand similar support to the APU market within the next 12 months at Part-145 level.
What will you be doing
This is a mechanical-based role repairing APU engines in a busy, modern engine workshop. Tasks include, but are not limited to: engine strip, cleaning, component and engine-level inspection, rebuild, and testing. As a Part-145 facility, accuracy and compliance in updating both electronic and paper-based technical records are essential.
What we are looking for
Candidates should have completed an Engineering Apprenticeship to Level 3 or above, or possess similar qualifications. Proven product training with documented history may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
Previous APU 131-9 A/B overhaul experience within a Part-145 environment is required.
Attention to detail when working on engines and updating technical records is crucial.
Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures is also essential.
