YOUR MISSION
Are you a UK-qualified lawyer with experience in in-house or private practice? We are expanding our team and seeking an experienced lawyer with expertise in compliance, corporate governance, commercial contracts, and/or corporate M&A to join our supportive in-house legal team.

This is a hybrid role based out of our offices in Reading, Manchester, or Leamington Spa, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage corporate governance and compliance in the UK business, providing general commercial and corporate advice as needed.
* Opportunities to broaden experience in areas such as corporate M&A and competition law.
* Report to the Director of Legal and collaborate with UK Strategy & Regulatory, corporate, and compliance teams globally.
* Lead UK workstreams on corporate crime prevention, data privacy, Electronic Communications Code, telecommunications security, and corporate governance policies.
* Manage and develop a paralegal supporting corporate governance and compliance activities.
* Maintain and update UK compliance policies and build external industry contacts.
* Oversee UK corporate governance, including delegated authority documents and powers of attorney, and manage relationships with Group Treasury and Tax.
EXPERIENCE
* Qualified to practice law in England & Wales.
* Likely 10+ PQE.
* Proactive, independent worker experienced with diverse teams, including senior management and external advisors.
* Knowledge of legal and compliance matters in a UK corporate setting, especially data protection and security.
* Interest in data privacy, information security, and corporate governance.
* Experience or interest in commercial contracts, M&A, and competition law is desirable.
