This is the ideal role for a Production Supervisor looking to develop their career with an award-winning company.
The role entails supporting a team of line leaders and production operatives, you will be responsible for the daily running of the production lines to ensure minimal interruptions whilst ensuring high quality of all products. This job role also includes organising staff, managing rotas and ensuring all relevant training is kept up to date..
This role is for day shift only and you will be required to work 5/7 days.
Hourly rate is £13.46 (Changes depending on experience)
Your duties will include:
* * Ensure the smooth running production lines by liaising with all team members within production and supporting areas.
* Ensure all stock requirements are met, liaising with Admin and Goods In, so that all product is kept in premium condition and wastage is kept to a minimum.
* Ensure all traceability procedures are adhered to.
* Manage the team leaders to enable sandwich production to take place with minimal interruptions.
* Organise staffing rotas, holiday and sickness cover and liaise with Admin re temporary cover and job advertisements, etc.
* Where necessary complete disciplinary investigations.
* Carry out any necessary inductions, training, etc as required.
* Carry out SIC reviews.
* Set a good example to all other staff in both manner and conduct.
* To ensure Company standards are maintained through laid down procedures and specifications
* To work safely in accordance with site and departmental procedures, observing the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act, the Food Safety Act 1990.
* Supporting the Low Risk managers to help manage the day to day running of the department
* Maintaining and adhering to the area GMP processes and ensuring audits are conducted
Key Skills:
* Strong people management skills.

* Experience of carrying out return to work, disciplinary and absence review processes.
* Ability to liaise with colleagues in other departments and work beyond the high care production area.
* Help establish a team that maintain control of raw material and finished goods throughout the factory so that service is maintained and constantly improved.
* Develop teams through mentoring, recognising potential, development of team skills and training.
* Demonstrate control of variable costs within area
* Flexibility and willingness to flex with the needs of the business.
* Team player and excellent leadership skills are essential.
