GSL Education are seeking a committed Substitute Teacher to join a welcoming school in Eastleigh. This role is perfect for teachers who enjoy working across various subjects and year groups, providing continuity of learning in the absence of regular teachers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups in secondary school settings.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and focused learning environment.
* Support students in their academic development, helping them engage with lessons and progress in their studies.
* Provide feedback to school staff regarding student progress, participation, and classroom behaviour.
* Adapt quickly to different classroom settings, maintaining a high standard of teaching throughout.
Requirements for the Role:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
* Prior experience in teaching or classroom management is advantageous.
* Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
* A flexible and proactive approach to working in diverse secondary school environments.
* Experienced teachers who are seeking a flexible teaching life are also encouraged to apply.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
* Provide an up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years, including an explanation for any gaps in employment.
* An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
