Legal CashierLocation: EssexContract: Permanent Salary: £30-35k per annumStart Date: FlexibleContact: .ukJob DescriptionService Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a modern law firm in Essex for a Legal Cashier to join the team on a permanent basis. The postholder will be required to deliver assistance and administrative support and have a flexible and positive approach to working in a busy and growing firm.Key Responsibilities
* Daily preparation of office and client receipts and payments using Barclays.net
* Preparation of cheques, BACS and CHAPS payments for authorisation
* Control of all bank transactions
* Daily bank account reconciliations.
* Dealing with nominal and purchase ledger receipts and payments, petty cash, expenses and Counsel’s fees
* Preparation of bills, ensuring correct disbursements, expenses and VAT is charged.
* Resolving queries by liaising with directors, fee earners, clients and the bank.
CandidateCriteria
* 18 months experience as a Legal Cashier or similar role within a law firm
* Excellent communicator, with good numeracy and literacy skills
* A team player, able to fit in with a small, friendly team.
* Willing to learn and develop
* Gaining job satisfaction from providing great client service.
* Previous experience using case management software such as Osprey Approach.
