A small, privately owned Construction and Project Delivery Consultancy are now looking for a multi-skilled, dynamic Clerk of Works to join their growing team based in London.
The Clerk of Works Role
The incoming Clerk of Works will be working on large schemes nationwide, the main bulk of which are typically in the Residential sector, but the firm also have a number of exciting Commercial & Education schemes in the pipeline.
The successful Clerk of Works will be required to fulfil day to day clerk of works responsibilities, including snagging across University Accommodations, Build to Rent and Commercial Office Properties.
Responsibilities include:
Ensuring compliance with contract documents
Using snagging software
Building regulations and home warranty provider requirements
Build, inclusive of passive fire stopping installations, façade construction and final finishes
Ensuring quality at all stages of the construction phase through to Practical Completion
Identifying defects
Liaising with contractors and surveyors on site
Quality Assurance
Inspections
Ensuring works are completed to legislation standards / NHBC standards
Delivering quality and driving value for all stakeholders.
Traveling nationwide sitesThe Clerk Of Works
The successful Clerk of Works must have:
3+ years site Experience
Solid understanding of home warranty provider requirements
Chartered ICWCI / MCIOB Accreditation
Technically proficient with a keen eye for detail
Capable of working within a team of snagging inspectors / clerk of works
Good written & oral communication
