Dynamics Engineer - Submarines

We are currently looking for talented Engineers to join the Dynamics Group in Rolls-Royce Submarines. As an engineer in this group, you will conduct structural assessments related to impact, seismic, shock, and vibration scenarios for components within the steam raising plant, as well as support equipment and radioactive material transport containers.
The work is diverse and engaging; you will respond to emergent challenges, providing vital services to the Submarines enterprise.

Your responsibilities include:
* Undertaking mechanical assessments, including finite element analyses.
* Using traditional and commercial analysis methods to develop and support component designs.
* Developing methodologies for assessment and testing programs.
* Communicating assessment results effectively to various audiences.
Who we're looking for:
We value agility, boldness, collaboration, and simplicity. Essential qualifications include a degree in mechanical engineering, physics, or mathematics, and an interest in dynamic analysis and testing. Desirable skills include experience with finite element methods, safety-critical components, and working in multidisciplinary teams. Membership or progression toward chartership in a relevant professional institution is preferred.
