Location: Groveside School, Reading, Berkshire, RG2 7AY
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum plus £1,000 Welcome Bonus **Terms and Conditions Apply. Welcome Bonus is payable after completion of one month £500 and one further payment of £500 upon completion of your final probation period. Terms and Conditions Apply
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only
Start Date: September 2025 or sooner

Due to growth in service we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced ICT Teacher to join our team at Groveside School in Reading, Berkshire.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking an outstanding SEND classroom practitioner to lead ICT across our school. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and learning in IT, capable of developing strong relationships with pupils, and able to develop staff within a collaborative and supportive team. If you are eager to provide first-class provision and seek a new challenge, we would love to discuss this role further.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing individual classroom support, small group work, 1:1 sessions, and differentiating learning resources and styles for students.
* Deploying support staff, evaluating and monitoring SEND provision effectiveness, and reporting to SLT and Governing Body.
* Collaborating with external agencies to ensure students receive optimal support to reach their potential.
* Leading staff INSET on Individual Needs and keeping all staff updated on SEND initiatives and legislation developments.
* Teaching some lessons in your subject to work with larger groups of students in your area of expertise.
Qualifications Required
* QTS
* Good IT Skills
* Experience in an Educational Setting

Groveside School is a new Acorn School in Reading, catering for up to 60 pupils aged 7-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
